This email has been circulating in 2 different formats (see below) and has been sent by compromised accounts that are addressed as they become known. Here are some addresses that have been compromised:

The email comes from a compromised CSULB student email account and threatens that users’ Office 365 account has expired and will be blocked. User must update their password by clicking the short URL.

Message Intent

 CSULB IT has addressed the compromised CSULB accounts. This is a fraudulent attempt to obtain sensitive data and send unsuspecting recipients to a fraudulent login page to steal one's campus login username and password. CSULB will never ask you to verify your account via an unsolicited email.
