The email originates from a compromised CSULB student email account. It falsely claims that users' Office 365 accounts are linked to two different universities and threatens account termination unless users click on a provided link to verify their credentials.

Message Intent

CSULB IT has addressed the compromised accounts. This phishing attempt aims to trick users into emailing the perpetrator, who then asks for login credentials and other personal information to steal campus login details and other sensitive data.
